Diamond Drilling
Diamond Drilling is the most versatile and efficient method of forming holes and openings in a wide range of hard materials, from Heavily Reinforced Concrete and Natural Stone to fragile Terrazzo Tiles, to almost unlimited profiles and depths. This process can be used to cut holes from 10mm – 1m diameter to virtually any depth and through a variety of substrates such as concrete, masonry and stone. Since diamond drilling is rotary only, vibration and noise levels are greatly reduced. At Britannia Drilling, we are proud of the speed at which we can undertake and complete even the most complex diamond drilling operation and continue to evolve and develop techniques and equipment to solve any drilling problem. Utilising and pioneering the latest technology, Britannia Drilling is able to drill holes in a number of applications from Social building contracts to New Build Housing Contracts and also Complex Civil Engineering.Key Features

Utilising and pioneering the latest technology, Britannia Drilling is able to drill holes in a number of applications from Social building contracts to New Build Housing Contracts and also Complex Civil Engineering.

Where appropriate, Britannia Drilling can utilise:

Stitch Drilling
This is a technique of forming large and unconventional shapes by using a series of overlapping holes which are free from spalling and require little or no reinstatement.

This procedure can be used across the four plains of vertical, horizontal, angled, and inverted. It is the perfect solution where substrate is too deep to be sawn, or access is restricted. By making a series of overlapping core holes, openings can be formed in walls and floors.

Dry Drilling
Dry drilling is primarily used for applications where water is not permitted.. Dust is controlled by the use of dust control unit situated between the motor and the bit, which is then attached to a dry vacuum unit.

Ring Sawing & Chain Sawing
This involves the use of high powered hand held machines which provide an outstanding solution in restricted access situations. Britannia drilling as expertise in other area like; Wall & Track Sawing and Chasing services.

Both techniques are ideal for cutting door and window openings. The hand-held chain saw is quick and efficient to operate and is used for straight line cuts with right-angle corners. The ring saw like the chain saw, is a hand-held device, powered by hydraulics that require a water supply. The depth of the cut is determined by the diameter of the diamond blade, up to a maximum depth of 250mm. The ring saw is fairly quiet to operate and virtually vibration free.

We are CHAS accredited.
